Too many potential physicists and engineers spend their careers shifting money around in the financial sector, instead of applying their talents to innovating in the real economy.
The way ahead
Pres. Obama (Archives)

Growing up, I loved the sciences and particularly building tangible objects. My engineer father actually talked me out of going into engineering, because in his words, engineers have to work hard their entire life, but will never be rich. I feel I am significantly more capable, but I too am stuck in the financial sector and its near impossible to get out from the investment/risk needed that all of us are taught to be averse to. I wish I had the courage to break free.
