I agree with you, I’d also add the importance of “conversational or water cooler content.” You want material that has people talking with you, the writer, and sharing with their friends and acquaintances. Can’t say enough about the social sharing aspect.
When it comes to pieces I read, I reward the writers for taking time to get their words written and published. I refuse to give anything less than 10 claps, unless the piece is clearly complete garbage(offensive, unedited, full of grammatical errors, etc). If I read something that falls into that category and I can’t even finish reading it, that work gets the sound of a crushed cricket…silence…nothing…nada.
Good stuff, Kiara!
I can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store for your readers regarding “taking responsibility for their actions or non-actions.” Sometimes it’s a struggle to get the fingers breathing, but we’ve got to stretch them out anyhow or suffer the after effects.
I was, initially, preparing for a pro-Rep or pro-Dem read. You know what I mean? The news are in complete disarray, leaning one way or another. That’s really the most disgusting aspect of the news today. I was relieved to see you stand against the lean, acting as more of a support. I found myself taking a deep sigh of relief as I finished reading your article.
