Dress codes make us human.
Oliver “Shiny” Blakemore

Bursting bubbles is the good work. We think of ourselves as so much more extraordinary than we are, and so much less fortunate than we are.

Clothes still come down to survival and control. If you want to succeed in business, music or stripping, you have to look the part. If you want to attract a good mate, as another commenter mentioned, clothing is a boon. And if there’s one thing us hairless apes can control, it’s what we put on. I find it a source of comfort and very empowering to chose my look for the day. That’s why young folks tend to be much more image conscious- they have so little control over their day to day life. It’s expression, and expression is control. So your first point applies to your second. Good stuff!
