Know Thyself

Know thy self One of the biggest favors you can do yourself in life is to know yourself. Understanding what makes you tick, what drives you, what you like and don’t like, makes you a more confident and decisive person, a thing like many things in my journey I am learning the hard way.

If you know me well you will know that I am almost as blind as a bat without my glasses, but I resolved I would not wear them ( unless it was incredibly necessary …which as it turns out, it always is ) simply because they make me look too serious.

The question is am I too serious, in whose opinion? Is it even a bad thing? In many ways, my limited self-knowledge made me susceptible to people’s opinions of me which stole that extra power.

As a leader people will always have different opinions of you, in my case some people think I am too nice and tend to lose respect for me, that is of course until they realize I can be stern and decide I am too intense. Paying too much attention to them will leave you in self-doubt and it’s not even worth it.

Bottom line is known thyself but more importantly, OWN IT Not everyone will appreciate it and that’s absolutely fine Have a productive week!
