National Burger Day 2017

Honest burger- Tennessee special:

Beef, smoked bacon, double American cheese, onion ring, BBQ sauce, Memphis mayo & lettuce.

Often with BBQ burger, the burger is absolutely drenched in BBQ sauce, which is so sickly sweet, that it ruins the whole thing. Not so here, the smokey sweet balance was perfect.

Patty & Bun Holy Pepperoni:

Patty, 2 types of cobbled lane pepperoni, nduja, fior di latte mozzarella, yard sales signature tomato sauce, basil & rocket.

Pepperoni and Basil in a burger were both inspired. The Basil lifted the flavour to portray a sweet freshness. Unfortunately in this particular burger, the tomato sauce was too plentiful, and overpowered much of the rest of the burger, including the Nduja.

Chuck burger:

Dry aged beef patty, blue cheese, pancetta bacon and bordelais sauce.

A great start to the event. The cheese was creamy and and the Patty was tender and soft. The creme de la creme was the smoked pancetta. I was sent straight back to my childhood in one delicious bite. Top notch.

Up in my grill:

Smoked bacon, American cheese, jalapeño relish, garlic aioli & pickled chillis.

The predominant flavour comes through the chilli mayo firing a tingle on the tastebuds like a samba dancer. Deliciously juicy, but I hope you like a bit of a kick.

Beef chief (picture not included):

Beef patty, thick cut braised bacon, aged Gouda, habanero chilli jam & peanut butter sauce.

Thick cut bacon is delicious, and don’t these guys know it. They have crisped the fat to perfection. Think juicy, crispy crackling. Outrageously drool worthy.
