True to form, the idea came as I expected, yet it was more than I had imagined. Life has taken an interesting turn since that day. Looking back on the changes, I see each one play out in fascinating ways. Opportunities have arisen without following the mainstream advice I often hear. I’ve come to believe that ‘all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it.’ Unless I had experienced it myself, I wouldn’t have believed it as deeply as I do now. I have proof, and I can advise anyone to do the same.
I’m not afraid of competition, and I don’t subscribe to the notion that the only competition is with myself. From my perspective, that idea is ludicrous. Imagine God competing with Himself—what absurdity that would be. It’s the same with the stories about the devil and his minions.
Michael and Lionel were right to pen ‘We Are the World.’ In your way, you are, as I am, the world. And make no mistake, you must believe this is true. You must take hold of your dreams and live them. Let go of all your former beliefs and now believe in miracles. To outsiders, miracles are awe-inspiring achievements—the things you do or possess that come easily. This is true for everyone; they just have to believe it.
