Tarte Cosmetics Maracuja oil Vs. Slice of Nature Marula oil | Review

$68 for 3.4 fl. oz product Vs. $23.99 for 4.0 fl. oz product

I will start by saying that I have very dry, sensitive skin and I have found that I like oil better than any moisturizer, but the oil has to be only one kind not a mixture of a hundred different things. Whenever it is a mixture of a bunch of different ingredients I will most likely be sensitive to at least one of them! (the struggle is real) So I have been trying to figure out if the expensive oil is any different than the cheaper stuff??

I loved the Tarte Cosmetics Maracuja oil. However, I did not love the price! It was very hydrating and great for under my makeup. It soaked into my skin nicely without leaving it too greasy or oily feeling, but didn’t sink in and leave my skin feeling dry again. It definitely did the job I needed it for! I used it by itself and didn’t need any extra moisturizer at all. It also did not break me out at all!! So I can’t complain about the actual product whatsoever! It is a little pricey though at $48 for the smaller 1.7 oz bottle. You can also get a tiny travel size .5 oz bottle for $15 and a large 3.4 oz bottle for $68 on the Sephora website. I got the largest bottle and used it all up and loved every minute of it!!

Before I repurchased the Tarte Maracuja oil I decided to try something cheaper… So I purchased the Slice of Nature Marula oil because I already know I love Marula oil and it did not disappoint! It is really nice and moisturizing, perfect for under my makeup and does not break me out at all!! I purchased mine on Amazon.com and I paid $23.99 for a 4 fl. oz. bottle with a pump!! I will not purchase the Tarte Maracuja oil any more!!
