FINISHED/ My BIGGEST mistake so far

Magnets ///
Issues: I had an issue with putting the magnets in which had repercussions throughout my whole design.
I did not measure accurately enough the positions of the magnets and they did not align. This meant that I was faced with three options, one: leave them not aligning or two: take out the magnets and re: position them and three, the chosen one: extend the base two pieces of timber to be longer so that the top will match up. This was good to do, it provided a re-cap of how to measure and use the drill. I had forgotten about the bigger drill piece which allows the screw to sit flush with the timber. I had also forgotten about the need to holistically think about where the screws go, how far in they go and where to put them. One mistake I made was drilling all the way through one piece of timber instead of only part of the way, proves the need to put masking tape over the drill. It also made me remember the importance, with this design of the legs meeting the base pieces at a strict 90 degree angle. Unfortunately this was harder to do this time and it does not sit as flat.
I could potentially sand it or use the plane but do not want to cause issues around the top being level.
I also came across the issue of gluing with screws and how this makes it harder to take apart. I think screws are enough support on their own and contributes to the ability to flat pack the furniture.
I did however finish and sand it this time before screwing together which made it easier.
I also re-corrected the issue of the screws being put inwards out and outwards in on both sides of the base of the table this time, even though it meant I had to use quite crude wood filler to patch the holes.
Overall I have learnt a lot from this table, I believe I could make it again much more quickly and could contribute to the top being a tray more, potentially hand holds /// I am proud though, proud despite being ready to stop working on the table and move on to my ply wood chair.
