When you accused the writer of “holding the democratic party hostage,” that is discarding the independents. Because what many Hillary supporters fail to recognize is that this election has spurred the interest of many independents who couldn’t support Bernie. So this is a REAL issue for the convention to grapple with. Considering that independent voters shape the election, it’s something the convention will have to think long and hard about.
