As healers, we ARE warriors. Although the narrative for these two labels has always been separate, Iβm a firm believer that in our generation you cannot be one without the other. We have been raised in an economy and social infrastructure with deep seeded systems built to keep the poor and working classes and people of color down. We live in a capitalist society that values currency over human life. Those before us did not have access to therapy and other knowledge regarding trauma and growth. They spent generations being weighed down by the stigma of healing and toxic masculinity, having no other choice but cementing the trauma they experienced into the fabric of their beings-passing it down through the bloodlines creating trans-generational wounds.
