Every night when we go to bed, we think about a ton of productive hacks to apply in our lives and promise ourselves to practice by the following day. But what happens the next morning is we end up wasting one more day.

Isn’t it relatable?

Do you also feel stuck to make your tasks fully accomplished, or is your to-do list going to extend every day?

Do you actually want some simple and quick ways to follow that will enhance your productivity with less or no tiredness?

Then you are in the right place. Keep it up!

Today I came up with the 5 productive habits that helped me get more done in less time, and indeed, you too so that you can make time for the things you enjoy doing and for your loved ones.

1. Practice the one-minute rule

There are many little things that we keep avoiding to cope with them after completing bigger and most important ones. The “One-minute rule” is a simple time management that can help you prioritize tasks and be more productive. I advise you to complete those tasks first that take one minute or less to be completed.

These tasks might include:

  1. Sending a quick email or text message
  2. Pulling away a dish or cleaning up a small mess
  3. Making a phone call
  4. Wiping down a surface or cleaning up a spill
  5. Taking out the trash or recycling
  6. Putting away a book or magazine

All of these tasks will take less than a minute to be done. Doing small and manageable tasks can give you a sense of accomplishment and boost your motivation to tackle more significant tasks.

2. Set yourself up for success with a consistent morning routine

A legendary habit followed by all the successful people of the world is a consistent morning routine. It may be the toughest one too. We all have many things to do in a day; most of them we leave for nighttime as we are more relaxed. That’s why we stay up late, and waking up early is our biggest burden.

When we get up late, every task for the day looks like a mess and keeps rendering from one task to another, never completing even one with our desperation.

Sounds complex?

Don’t worry. I have a solution.

Firstly, you can enjoy a consistent morning routine by doing tasks that bring you joy and make you feel fresh. It could be:

Waking up at the same time every day
· Making your bed
· Enjoying a cup of coffee while reading a book
· Your skincare routine
· Cuddles with your dog
· A daily multivitamin
· Stretching

By accomplishing a few essential tasks you enjoy, your mind gets momentum from the moment you roll out of bed to cope with everything on your to-do list.

3. Stop constantly checking your email

A habit that can be a major distraction and negatively impact your productivity is checking your emails regularly while performing a task. If you are facing the same problem, then here are some tips to avoid:

· Turn off the sound and visual notifications for your email client so that you’re not constantly alerted to new messages.

· Set specific times during the day when you will check and respond to emails, such as first thing in the morning, after lunch, and before quitting for the day.

· Rather than constantly checking your email throughout the day, try to process all of your emails in one or two chunks during the day.

4. Declutter your digital life

Why do we always feel depressed and lost?

A major source of depression is this tiny gadget in your hands that always calls you to check me first, no matter how much significant duty you are on. If you can manage your digital device usage, your life will be much easier. This is tried and tested. Believe me!
Here are some tips for decluttering your digital lives:

Here are some tips for decluttering your digital lives:

  1. Take a look at the apps on your phone and computer and delete any that you no longer use or need.
  2. Create folders on your computer and organize your files into them. You can also use cloud storage services like Google Drive or Dropbox to store your files online.
  3. Go through your email inbox and unsubscribe from any emails that you no longer need or want to receive.
  4. Make a conscious effort to spend less time on your phone, computer, and other digital devices. Set aside time each day for activities that don’t involve technology, such as reading, exercising, or spending time with friends and family.
  5. Keep social media use to a minimum.

5. Keep social media use to a minimum

The impacts of social media on our lives are enormous. Nobody can ever deny it, especially in this world of immense technology.

But have you ever thought about how it is ruining us moment by moment? It makes us useless when we continuously keep scrolling through any social media app unintentionally. We get so much of our significant time wasted, which instead we can give to our close ones or on our personal development. Social media has faked our personalities. It seems we have two different faces; one is for social media, and one is for us in solitude. Specifically, those fake face emojis that we use to express our emotions on these apps. Certainly, we are not the same as we are shown on social media. It’s the story of today’s society.

I think if I continue going to write about it, my words will become endless. I’m here to help you with the good things I am applying to myself to become my best version.

So, keep control of your consciousness. When using social media, be present and engage with it in a mindful way rather than mindlessly scrolling through your feed.

Which one of the productive habit do you plan to work on first? Leave a comment and let me know!

I admit that we all are different, no matter how similar our situation is. It depends on you how you handle the situation. Maybe the habit which is good for me won’t work for you.

Choose the habit that works best for you. Stay consistent with it, and you will be going to thank yourself in the near future for your efforts.

Don’t forget to tell me about your chosen habit.

Thanks for reading!
