Annnnd our stuff was stolen
We had to take a flight from Chiang Mai, Thailand to Siem Reap, Cambodia. It wasn’t too long of a flight, (2) 1-hour long flights with a 1 hour halt in Bangkok. The airline, GoAsia, made us check one bag in. That bag had our flip flops, bathing suits, and yup — my wallet.

Most of the clothes were still in the bag by the time we arrived in Cambodia, but we noticed a few items missing, including yup — my wallet.
But that didn’t kill our vibe. I just cancelled my cards and ordered a new ID and boom all was fixed! It’ll be waiting for me when I land in the US of A next week.

Cambodia is such a special place. It’s much more serene than the parts of Thailand we were in. After spending our first night in a private room, and having our first hot shower of the trip, the day got off to a wonderful start.
We woke up and had fresh fruit for breakfast (Jaz got an omlette) and Cambodian coffee, which tastes quite chocolatey. It’s delicious.

Then we hired a tuk tuk driver to take us around the Angkor Wat temple complex. Angkor Wat, means “temple city” and the main temple also called Angkor Wat was “ originally constructed as a Hindu temple for the Khmer Empire, gradually transforming into a Buddhist temple toward the end of the 12th century,” according to Wikipedia.

It was a pretty hot day so we only stopped at 4 of the complex’s many temples. We saw Angkor Wat, Bayon, one of the smaller temples, whose name I didn’t note, and Ta Prohm the temple where Angelina Jolie filmed Tomb Raider.

It was a lovely day, but exhausting. We then had a great vegetarian lunch — Cambodian food is on point, guys. Now we’ve got to go buy some new flip flops and get ready to hit up “Pub street” and see what the night life is all about.
