The last set of headphones you’ll ever buy!

I bought these a two days ago and I’m totally blown away! The dynamic range is amazing and distortion free … the noise cancelling was unparalleled. Throw in the comfort of the plush pads, I almost missed my stop! The call quality is crystal clear and the bluetooth connectivity fantastic and the design flawless. As much as I wanted to complain about the £178 price tag, they’re worth every penny.

I searched for reasonably priced headphones with good noise cancelling ability and found the AKGN60NC

My review is based on all-day wear in an office environment. Paired with “white noise” sound tracks, tuning out conversations in the vicinity is easily done (higher pitches are more challenging to drown out). The ear pads are comfortable and fit perfectly (not convinced they would fair with someone with larger ears as each don’t completely cup my smaller ears) … The construction is solid, which may contribute to the weight. I’ve gone almost 2hrs and found my head needed a break. Pairing was a cinch. As for the carrying case, it could be improved as the neoprene case doesn’t do much for protection; plus it looks inexpensive. Overall, these are very good headphones at this price point.

Great, until they started falling apart.

I liked everything about these when I first purchased them — size, sound quality, noise cancelling, etc. But right around a year after I purchased them (just outside of the warranty period, mind you), the seam on both ear-pads began to rip, exposing the foam inside. Now the cable has also gone bad and the and the audio only plays out of the left side. I did not expect such lousy quality from a premium priced headphone. I’m very disappointed.

Great sound but Not so good Build Quality

I have been so happy with the sound production from these on ears, but what has let them down for me is the Build quality. From day one there has been a clicking from one of the switches when moving my head, this is due to the slackness of the switch i its mounting, irritating but liveable. But the main issue for me is, after having treating them like a baby for the two years or so in which I have owned them, the connection point to the head band of one of the ear covers has broken. Extremely disappointing.

These have dropped significantly in price, making them among the ANC headphones available.

POSITIVES: Noise canceling, Lightweight, Portable, Price

NEGATIVES: Battery, Sound quality

BOTTOM LINE: If you’re looking for a set of budget active noise-canceling headphones that are actually up to the task, AKG’s N60 NC Wireless will get you where you need to go.

Rating #6: RTINGS’ Review

The AKG N60NC are alright for mixed usage. They’re fairly comfortable, well-made, and have above-average sound quality ... Their ANC feature isolates a decent amount of noise, which can be good for commuting or office. Although they are comfortable and lightweight, they aren’t stable enough for physical activity. Their latency might be a bit high for watching video content and gaming, but they come with an audio cable to get rid of it that has a better performing in-line mic.

PROS: Above-average audio reproduction, Great isolation performance

CONS: A bit harsh on already bright tracks, Unusual control scheme layout.

I have used the akg N60nc wireless headphones for several months . There are several things that I like and some things I don’t.

I definitely don’t recommend you pay more than $150 for them … The quality is there; they are supposed to last you while … but I personally feel like they are probably worth about $100.

Review #8: Travis MCP’s Review

hmm … I’m glad they were free because I would not pay what they are trying to charge on Amazon for these over $150 … The build quality is cool, but the sound is just underwhelming …

Review #10: Quora

The audio on these new AKG noise-cancellers headphone a bit behind the in-ear and over-ear choices atop this graph. On the other hand, the trade-off for that is greater portability and a slightly lower cost.

The N60NC Wireless is effortlessly thrilling, with excellent ANC, although again, it is maybe a bit less like an off switch to the world than the pricier alternatives …

… it is easy to fold up and throw in a bag when you don’t require musical accompaniment, along with the understated styling is really appealing, too …

Is either of those AKG cans as fine as fellow noise-cancellers? No, they are not. They do not sound as good … However, they are cheaper and more mobile than the ANC big boys, and considerably more comfortable for specs wearers compared to Marshall’s ear pinching thugs.
