Things to remember 2016
Some notes from 2016 me to future me
- Reddit, Twitter etc is not wasted time — but recognise when you’re putting stuff off
- Keep drawing
- When you feel yourself withdrawing from group conversations give yourself five minutes (fake a wee) and work out what’s pissing you off and how you can turn this into a positive
- Stop being late — add ten minutes onto any journey
- Floss daily
- Work out a way of better packaging the thing people say they’ll miss when you resign
- Relax when cycling to work — it’s not a race
- Eat less free food and drink less free booze
- Find somebody to mentor
- Plan time with good friends and family, and reduce doing things because it’s easier to say ‘yes’
- Keep a list of good things to cook and buy food accordingly
- Stop trying to dress ‘smart’ at work
