Things to remember 2016

Some notes from 2016 me to future me

  1. Reddit, Twitter etc is not wasted time — but recognise when you’re putting stuff off
  2. Keep drawing
  3. When you feel yourself withdrawing from group conversations give yourself five minutes (fake a wee) and work out what’s pissing you off and how you can turn this into a positive
  4. Stop being late — add ten minutes onto any journey
  5. Floss daily
  6. Work out a way of better packaging the thing people say they’ll miss when you resign
  7. Relax when cycling to work — it’s not a race
  8. Eat less free food and drink less free booze
  9. Find somebody to mentor
  10. Plan time with good friends and family, and reduce doing things because it’s easier to say ‘yes’
  11. Keep a list of good things to cook and buy food accordingly
  12. Stop trying to dress ‘smart’ at work
