Belief is more Powerful than Pragmatism

I agree, except that the belief must not be ideology. Ideology is always delusional, because it narrowly boxes problems into a small set of theories. I’ve finally managed to jump Lessing’s Leap — most of your readers won’t get the allusion —it’s the boundary to faith — but only when I rid myself totally of everything I’d been taught. Only when I was able to discover the true words of Jesus, hidden for 2000 years, was I able to have faith (The Gospel of Q was the first step). I am a great beleiver in (nonviolent) revolution, because fundamental change only begins with getting at the root causes. But AFTER that, the solutions need to be pragmatic. We have too many programs that don’t work.
