The Boy on the Train

I see him through the window, calm and composed,
The fog is entwined by the train as it hurtles and flows.
Through my camera lens, in grey stripes, he appears,
Filtered by settings that enhance what endears:
-10 contrast, +6 shadows, -4 highlights, +12 vibrance, with grain to capture the sights.
A too cinematic view for a vintage form,
His reflection fights daylight, its presence to storm,
And I am here to witness this quiet norm.

The boy leans on the glass as the train moves fast,
I capture the stillness, hoping it will last.
Synchronizing the weather with the dim light,
His curls add a blur, complicating the sight.
An aesthetic complication is about to unfold,
The train comes to a halt — time to depart,
But today, in my lens, he’s the hero of the art.
