What I don’t understand is how people have some to view the “white liberal” so critically, as if those problems could be solved by white people turning to conservatism ??

Segregation is a serious issue but I believe that if possibly unaware, most people of most backgrounds have a slight bias toward it. And that may result in unfortunate observable trends.
