I totally agree. I am born and raised in Romania and always dreamed of becoming a writer. Living in a small town, there were barely any literary works written by female writers in the local library . Somehow I resented being a girl. When I ran into Margaret Atwood, Ruth Ozeki and others I felt nourished and had more hope.
