A design lesson from a sugar stick
Antony Faby

The thin sugar stick is a fabulous idea. It is so counterintuitive that one coffee drinker (me), not wanting to pour the sugar out incorrectly will reach for the half and half. The half and half has just a hint of sweetness. I now drink coffee black or with a hint of half and half. Thanks confusing sticks of sugar.

You are correct about good design needs to be intuitive to the consumer.
