I think Microsoft does not grasp how much its users actually dislike Windows. People use it because it’s what they know, because their friends use it, and because it comes with their computer. Not because they love it. Nobody I know does.
Imagine someone who’s battled Microsoft Word all day at the office walking into a mobile phone shop. Some of the phones there — all equally sleek in design — runs an exciting new operating system from their favorite search engine, Google. Other devices boot with the dreaded Windows logo, and actually have Word pre-installed.
Mobile phones are supposed to be easy, and fun. Even if they’re for work.
