Aim to Get 1% Better with KDP Books Daily

James Clear, in his famous business book Atomic Habits, talks about aiming to get 1% better daily. If achieved, this would mean you become 37% better in one year.

I love this piece of advice, one that I’ve kept in mind since my early days of publishing low-content books. It’s always been a goal of mine to keep improving, and what easier way than to aim to improve by 1% each day.

Honestly, anyone can do this and improve by such a small percentage. It’s easy to achieve.

In any business venture, whether it’s low-content publishing or something else, we often have a bias towards what we are capable of or what we have created. We tend to believe we are better at something than we actually are or that we’ve created something astonishing.

With the example of publishing low-content books, we might think our cover is better than it really is. We look at it, thinking it’s a piece of artwork bound to succeed in the market. More often than not, that’s not the case. This bias develops from the extensive time and effort we have put in.

The way to counteract this bias is to aim to keep improving no matter what, and James Clear’s advice really helps with this. No matter what stage you are in your KDP journey or how good you are, aim to get 1% better in everything daily. Aim to get 1%…
