Every one of these candidates is deeply flawed, whether held in thrall by corporate interests or simply batshit crazy in their own charming and engaging way. Every time they say something that approaches a reasonable stance, they manage to slip in something that reveals a complete lack of knowledge, insight or intellect. It’s like looking at a bowl of wax fruit and knowing that the individual pieces, while attractive, are just for show.

With regard to health care, the consensus seems to favor ending Obamacare but candidates are short on specifics as to how they would end it and what they would replace it with. With Americans spending twice as much money as other Western countries on health care, there are huge savings to be made for most ordinary people. Both parties don’t need to look far for examples of what works in other countries. Single payer is the sensible way to go but as with gun control (and other issues), a lot of money has gone into convincing ordinary Americans to frame and dismiss both ideas as socialistic and a loss of liberty.
