Most of us who lead relatively quiet and dull lives can only marvel at the ability of people to transcend the horrors of political and racial oppression. Sophie was an amazing, powerful woman who was able to overcome incredible obstacles. Leslie has illustrated her roller coaster life in a beautifully informal way. I could see this becoming a movie.
