Be thankful for your github repo graveyard
Joseph Jung

Love the focus on value, as well as the “lessons learned” approach to explaining abandoned repos.

Now how do I convince the portfolio screeners and potential clients before they think I simply can’t commit long term to a project? — Maybe I should revisit my repos and update the README’s so that I can insert some sentence or two about why the project was abandoned. I think I’ll try and cleverly insert some of your 3 benefits of abandoned repos — “My ambition got the better of me, and shortly after I started MyProject, I discovered the much better FoobarProject, which is well maintained and tested. Consider MyProject deprecated”. Any thoughts?
