after hearing about friendsreunited closing, a bunch of digital archivists collected every school/group/forces/towns group pages (over 700,000) if you would like the list. let me know. to hear that there is less a month left to view or save anything. emailing the members their data is not the way to go. there’s loads of early social networking data on there about to go. even at worst letting us have a database dump of non private stuff and at worst regenerate the pages to archive. it was the social network before facebook. there is tons of data on there you wont even find on facebook, let alone anywhere. i know that you probably want friendsreunited gone and your new venture to step forward, but we would like to keep a copy alive for future generations to see how the web evolved. you can contact me if you want to help us archive a copy. it would be a great help if you can help us.
