Don’t Get Attached: George R. R. Martin isn’t finishing the Game of Thrones books

The HBO TV show Game of Thrones has passed the books of a Song of Ice and Fire in story and plot and the TV show is ending in 2018 with a final six episodes. Martin has told the producers and writers the planned ending of the books, but not all of the details leading up that ending. At this point, we’re not sure if the TV script is diverging wildly or barely from the unfinished books. I’m skeptical that Martin will ever finish the books.
