I work at Software company about 2 years ago. In that time, when I was hired to work at area of Human Talent. I remember the CEO of company where they didn’t understand the purpose of value of my work as Organizational Developer, because for them the meaning of Human Talent was only to be a recruiter.

There’s something about the personality of a company that comes from the dreams, believes and practise of who started it. Let me share with you how I started to build a change inside into the caos like a crazy story but, it’s helping me to grow and improve my creative skills. I’m proud to be a survivor!

How It Happened

The company decided to invite me to join them as “special position role”. When I stood in front of employees, I felt the energy, and I was understand the level of my prove. I realized in that moment that Company look like child lost without a guide. Only with a big heart, with a transparent dreams and the best brains and hands to help to build the path.

My top focus will be to guide the company culture, that energy, that feeling. This is where owners, feel that I can have a powerful impact. It’s important that everyone understands the whole story and each of our roles. I’ll shape the experience.

The individual change management requires understanding how people experience change and what they need to change successfully. My first objective as a researcher was to formulate my first questions to understand my population:

  • What is the learning style of a software developer?
  • What is the motivators to learn?
  • When is the optimal time to teach someone a new skill?
  • What is the best way to communicate with them?

As psychologist I start to draw and research how to apply actionable frameworks as Gamification and Dreyfus model for skill acquisition. Would you like to read about how we designed a framework based on Gamification techniques?

I am very fortunate to be able to remember and take a step back, so today I can share and tell you this story.
