OK, but you are the government — you literally print the money — so what do you mean “as much as you can”? You can do whatever you want, provided you get political support for it, and that support needs to rest on some social welfare benefit to doing what you’re doing. E.g. how is my life going to be better because of this fund? Here, I don’t see the benefit of a forced savings plan such as this. Not saying that there isn’t one, but it would be nice if that was brought front and center.
