Hi Roope,

Thanks for the response, and I love service design! I point people I know to the Practical Service Design website that Erik Flowers and Megan Miller started a couple of years ago. I’ve taken their course and have used their method in about four projects to date.

In those projects, we had designers, researchers and clients go through a blueprint session, followed by some Design Sprint exercises to elicit some ideas on how to fill gaps.

For the rest of your commentary, I’d invite you to look at my LinkedIn profile. I’m fairly deep in UX, Usability and IA, and have spoken about all three at UPA/UXPA conferences since 2008.

I encourage any designer to look beyond their current skillset and develop for the future. I emphasize a focus on strengths and setting stretch goals on their professional learning curves. It’s all about servant leadership from my perspective. :)

Take care!

I run Dallas Design Sprints, The Design Sprint Referral Network and Talent Sprints.
