Experiments are scientific by a definition, do check the definition of the word and get educated…

Okay, here’s a definition:

“a test, trial, or tentative procedure; an act or operation for the purpose of discovering something unknown or of testing a principle, supposition, etc.”

Nope… it doesn’t say it has to be scientific. And despite your claim, he does have a stated purpose:

There is a lot of emotion these days surrounding the use of seed created with genetic engineering. Some groups have grown concerned about associated pesticides and what they see as corporate control. Scientists tell us that the technology is beneficial and poses no additional risk compared to other breeding methods. I wanted to find this out for myself.

Not particularly well-defined, but certainly serves as a reason.

On the top of it, he also claimed that scientists see GMO as safe. Nothing could be further from the truth, this is a highly controversial issue and there are many scientists who oppose it — for a very good reason.

You could make the same claim about many other topics, like vaccinations. In fact, you could say the same thing about anthropogenic climate change and it would actually be closer to the truth.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
