Political Musings

Sure. Nitin Gadkari executed the Mumbai Pune Expressway with great elan. The brainchild of Raj Thackeray, Gadkari set a standard that the Centre had to emulate.
But there is one man who is forgotten by everyone including the Right.
Major General Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri. He single handedly executed the National Highways Development Project and changed the face of the Transport Sector.
Today, if you can do Bombay to Bangalore in 13 hours, Khanduri is the man who needs to be thanked. I was personally disappointed that he wasn’t made a minister in 2014 because of his age, but he did in 4 years what nobody did in 10 years after him.

Back in 2014, nobody could get Maharashtra right. I was one of the few who said that Fadnavis would be CM, a month prior to the elections.
I was laughed at by people claiming that either the Sena would Trump every party or that Gadkari would be CM.
Looks like I was right back then and I am right even today.

I disagree that Fadnavis is like Modi. He's different. He's got his own style. He reminds me more of NDA 1 under Vajpayee.
The only difference is that Fadnavis seems to be a combination of both Vajpayee and Khanduri more than anyone else.

I guess it’s time that Himanta Biswa Sarma’s transition period to the Centre begins. His Assam budget was amazing and I believe he can do wonders in the Finance Ministry at the Centre.

Similarly, Raman Singh has kept Chhattisgarh clean for so many years. He too needs to be prepared for a greater role in the Centre.
