May’s Agenda Begins to Crumble
Further to my note before on why May’s new Toryism would probably fail or fall short, the first signs of retreat have been reported.
From The New Statesman’s Morning Call bulletin, 12th October:
Theresa May’s plans for full Communism aka workers on boards are coming under heavy fire from inside the Cabinet, George Parker reports in the FT. The PM is firmly committed to the plan but what ends up being agreed may be heavily watered down, with the workers’ representative having little voice and no real power, the TUC fears.
Not terribly surprising then: Theresa May is no Iron Lady when it comes to her new agenda.
