Yes, this is exactly how I feel. For instance, I’m always open to reviewers. Many times JR. developers spotted potentially error prone or bad code. That’s why it's always good to listen to your reviewers, no matter how experient he/she is.
The biggest problem is when the person ego is higher than the will of create quality code. This affects not only him, but the entire team, because this will create a bad impact on the developed application, and probably isn’t him that will have to fix bugs and do maintenance of that code.
