Seems fair at first, but that’s the history of every new communication medium, isn’t it? The printing press made it easy for everyone to print whatever nonsense they wanted, and out of that we got the Reformation and arguably everything that followed (such as the Enlightenment). A new consensus will be built; we’re still in flux at this point, that’s all.
Re: “trolling.” Was he really getting trolled, or just disagreed with? Those aren’t the same thing FYI. (You might know this, but increasingly many publications pretend not to.)
