Uses of Artificial Intelligence in the Medicinal Field

AI is an abridgement of the term “Artificial Intelligence”. Artificial intelligence is a process by which computers imitate human action and learn like them.AI has come a long way since its introduction.
Diagnostics is a time-consuming process. Currently, it takes a lot of time to diagnose patients. Once trained Machine Learning algorithms can extensively diagnose patients fast, cheap and make it easily accessible for the general public. Many machines have been designed to read MRI scans, electrocardiograms, CT scans, eye images etc. to determine conclusions about a person’s heath. It is highly unlikely that AI will replace doctors. It would probably act as an assistant and learn under the doctor’s supervision.
AI has come to our rescue during the time of the Covid-19 Pandemic as well. Doctors have uses AI to determine the exact location and size of tumours.AI can also be used to develop drugs. Most of the drug development process is mechanized. All that is required is to instill deep learning programs. This can also help us develop customized medicines for a patient who requires more/less of a certain ingredient in the medicine.
I feel that machines based on AI can also be developed; the requirements would be to enter personal details, symptoms, payment etc. and the machine would be able to identify the disease through the data feed into it. This will help reduce errors and help AI become more precise. It may also detect dangerous diseases like Cancer, Blood diseases etc.
According to me, AI may also be able to improve gene editing as it may become accurate and more accurate as compared to normal machines or humans. This will also help eradicate the jobs of fraud doctors. Medication errors will be reduced and the society would prosper and the people would live a happy and comfortable life..
Similar to every technology-based development, the uses of AI in the therapeutic field has both pros and cons. AI will be more precise and efficient. It will reduce the workload of doctors. It will also help in reducing costs and give more time to patients with more critical issues.
In conclusion, it is important that doctors and nurses are made aware of the future AI advancements. Developing a mutual relationship between the future AI automation and the present physicians is a good way to start.
