What is Humanoid Robot?
Humanoid Robot is a Robot with its body shape resembles the Human body. It is designed for interacting with Human and environment. In General humanoid robots will have head, two arms, two leg and tosro.
Sophia is a Humanoid Robot, Developed by Dr.David Hanson in Hang Kong based company Hanson Robotics, and activated on Feb 2016. made her first public appearance at South by Southwest Festival in Texas, US. She got the worlds first Robot citizenship from Soudi Arabia. It is the first time in the history that any robot is considered as citizen of any country and this is revolutionary step that can be taken by the country in the field of robotics.
Sophia imitate Human Gestures & facial expressions and it’s able to answer certain questions to make simple conversations on predefined topics (Eg : On wheather). and AI program analyses conversations and stores information for future conversations. Sophia is recognised as the “social-robot” that can show the social behaviour of human being and express feelings of love on human.
Architecture of Sophia includes scripting software, chat system, openCog and AI system designed for general Reasoning.
Sophia uses speach recognition technology from Alphabet Inc. and it is designed get smarter overtime. and Intelligence software is designed by Hanson Robotics.
Sophia can teach childrens How to code, including support for python, block and Raspberry Pi.
