If Trump is Impeached, it Might Be the End of America
Isaac Simpson

Seen from abroad one could say that it is already the end of America. Trump is doing so much damage to America’s reputation — look at the recent totally unnecessary diplomatic cock-up with Sweden — that the Republican party might decide that angry reactions from Trump supporters is a price worth paying in order to maintain America’s standing in the world. The author presents the Russian issue as less serious than Watergate but, again, if one looks at it from an international perspective it is a lot more serious. America is a country at war right now so potential foreign influence on the American President is extremely serious indeed, both for the US and for the rest of the world. Impeachment can only happen with the support of the Republican Party. They will be better placed than the Democrats or the traditional media to explain this process and the rationale behind it to potentially disgruntled Trump supporters.
