I think I’ve tried just about every variation of a morning routine our there in an effort to optimize my day for peak productivity and to maintain high levels of energy throughout the day.

Here are just some of the ones that I’ve tried so far:

  • Tweaking what I eat or not eating altogether (intermittent fasting)
  • Taking a bath
  • Meditating
  • Making my bed
  • Journaling
  • Varying the items I read (The Daily Stoic, Meditations, Newspapers, Audiobooks, Quotes, etc.)
  • Working
  • Writing
  • Planning the Day
  • Stretching
  • Running
  • Yoga
  • Power poses
  • Cold showers and varying hot/cold
  • Visualization exercises
  • Gratitude
  • Varying music (classical, electronic, pop, binaural beats)
  • Varying coffee/tea/titanium tea

I’ve also tried changing up my afternoon routines which help but I noticed that what I do in the mornings makes a much bigger impact.
