Am I In The Right [Relationship]?

This is a useful question to ask yourself every now and then.

It’s easy to get comfortable and attached to your current situation. Don’t let a decision you made without much thought a long time ago be the reason you do something indefinitely. Just because you’ve always done something a certain way isn’t a good reason to keep doing it that way. The best reason is because it makes the most sense for you.

Pay attention to the important areas of your life and give it a bit of time for reflection. Keep questioning the status quo.

You can substitute [relationship] for anything that you’re considering. Here are some examples:

Am I In The Right Relationship?
Am I In The Right Occupation?
Am I In The Right Company?
Am I In The Right Business?
Am I In The Right Industry?
Am I In The Right Country?

Let conscious thought be the catalyst for changing your current state of affairs.

Don’t stay in a relationship just because it’s comfortable even though you don’t see a future. It’ll come to an end anyway so better to be fair to your partner and yourself, and have the courage to end it now than letting it drag on until you can’t stand it anymore.
