Sweet Hereafter

I went to Kurama, Kyoto last week since I read “Sweet Hereafter” by Banana Yoshimoto. This novel is set in the northeast of Kyoto. There is an open-air bath in Kurama hot spring where the novel took place.
Kurama is famous for the God of Tengu. I hiked in the mountain to Kurama Temple from Kibune Shrine. It was so refreshing that I got away from the crowds and enjoyed nature. Then I was healed of my foot fatigue in the hot spring! There’s nothing better than relaxing in the hot spring. If you have nothing to do in nature, it might be a perfect day.
Someday, for sure I’d like to go Toi City, Shizuoka, where the novel “Lid of the Sea” took place.
