Running (Almost) Alone, Just a Matter of Balance

Everything is social these days. Everything but my workouts. I can’t stand to share this part of my life with anybody else.

Apart from my children. But they don’t want to run with me most of the time. :-)

Every other aspect of my life, as it happens to 99,99% of the people, is tightly connected to activities carried out by someone else. Maybe this thing of running alone is just to strike a balance.

On the other hand I do like running in parks as it is likely to meet other runners. I want to run alone and yet, at the same time, I need to feel I’m part of a community. A very loose type of community as I don’t need to interact with anybody. I belong just for the fact I am there, running as everybody else.

Running alone in the park!
One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
