When I see pictures of those beautiful places other runners experience I almost feel depressed about my sad plight of urban runner.
I can’t stand the sight of those gorgeous sceneries. It’s even more thant that as I know all these blessed runners are getting the added bonus of an aesthetic pleasure due to the context they run.
70%-80% of the times I run in the outskirt of a big city. Pollution is above any reasonable standard. Cars are parked everywhere. Cycle paths are mirages.
I often say to myself I really have to love running to do this to myself. And yet I will do it once again tomorrow morning at an unreasonable hour. :)
