RuneMine is drawing closer to the release of the Runes Keys and as we ramp up preparations with Magic Eden, we’ve an important update to share.
The Runes Key is a non-fungible asset “badge” that grants its holders access to the RuneMine.
Holders of the Runes Keys are granted whitelist access for the LBP of the upcoming RuneMine token. Date and launch partner TBD.
Upon further exploration of our plans to split the Runes Keys collection 50/50 across the Solana and Bitcoin blockchains, RuneMine is taking a new direction to focus our collection onto one chain only rather than a dual-chain launch as originally planned.
On careful consideration, moving forward we are now taking steps to inscribe the entire Runes Keys collection onto the Bitcoin blockchain as ordinals.

The New Vision
All 8,888 of the Runes Keys will be inscribed onto Bitcoin as ordinals.
Our decision aims to enhance the longevity of the Runes Keys for the RuneMine community by securing their permanence and value. By focusing Runes Keys on the Bitcoin ecosystem, we ensure an efficient rollout of the Keys and streamline the address collection process.
Establishing the Runes Keys collection as ordinals on the Bitcoin blockchain powerfully preserves their legacy, not only ensuring their permanence and but also anchoring their identity in a blockchain celebrated for its durability and timeless impact.
In reviewing past launches, we observed that projects which have attempted simultaneously minting in two ecosystems tended to encounter performance challenges. In the additional interest of propagating the Keys’ success post-drop, this is the new path that RuneMine will take.
Users who participated in the Solana-based presale on Atlas3 will need to link their Taproot address over on the Atlas3 platform.
Participants of Season 1 of the Runes Keys Early Access campaign who have not already provided their Taproot addresses will need to submit them on the Points page. Go forth and submit your Taproot address.

How to submit your Taproot address for Season 1?
Navigate to https://app.runemine.com/points and hit ‘Connect Solana Wallet’.
Connect your Solana wallet in the pop-up. Enter your password, and hit connect. Ensure this is the Solana address you submitted in the first address collection round.
The address submission will auto-fill the Solana address from your wallet. Now, find your Taproot address (guide below) and enter it.
Hit ‘Submit’ and you’re done.

How to find your Taproot address?
Taproot addresses, starting with the prefix ‘bc1p’ are recommended for securely storing and managing your Ordinals, Runes and BRC-20 assets.
Below are the directions for finding your taproot address using major wallets. You can also learn more about wallet addresses on Magic Eden, here.
Using Leather Wallet:
- Select ‘Receive’
- Choose Asset to Receive
- Copy BRC-20 Address
Using Xverse Wallet:
- Select ‘Receive’
- Copy Ordinals, BRC-20 & Runes Address
Using UniSat Wallet:
- Select the Settings ⚙ icon.
- Check ‘Address Type’ to ensure you you have selected ‘Taproot’
- Hit ‘back’ and then select ‘Receive’
- Copy your Taproot address.

A few milestones need to be completed before the next stage of Runes Keys can proceed..
Once the presale concludes and RuneMine has confirmed and collected the number of whitelisted addresses and eligible winners of season 1 and 2 of the Early Access program, the next phase can begin.
To be clear, the mint has not happened yet, so those participating in the presale can rest easy until further announcement.
