I made a mistake

This is a realisation from multiple recent conversations over the last couple of weeks and is in line with something I wrote some time back on where we go wrong.

I recently realised that I am admitting to having made a mistake a lot more now, than what I used to earlier. And I am doing that in pretty vocal terms as well. Big deal you might say.

But then it is. What I notice every single time I admit to having made a mistake is that by admitting to it, I am now more open to great feedback, greater learning and all of it in a very healthy spirit.

So the next time there is a situation wherein you might have made a mistake or have actually made one, just admit to it. The learning the environment around gives back is a lot more life changing than the pride we carry by not accepting to the mistake.

And the opportunities it opens up are magnificent as well.
