What I’m criticizing is that our exploitation of labor and resources has nothing to do with meeting demand for goods and services. Our commitment to growth is based solely on the operating system of currency and software of corporatism. Twitter is seen as a failure because it can’t grow.

As for the environment, aquifers can be drained by people faster than they can be replenished. That doesn’t mean they won’t eventually be replenished (after we’re gone) but there is a rate at which the soil produces crops. When we try to accelerate that rate through chemical means, we end up depleting the topsoil. That’s just science. Yes, in thousands of years it could remineralize. But that’s still not good.
