Firstly do something to get to a men/women ratio of 50:50 in your own little startup; then preach to others.
The remainder of your advice is misandrist, generally bogus and largely unsuitable to interviewing and/or hiring talent. You do readers and especially women whom you hope to help in this little rant of yours, a tremendous disservice.
Precious gems like:
1) ask a potential boss/colleague/partner/co-founder/employee: “Tell me about the strong women in your life.” (can I ask a woman this same question as to the strong male influence in her life to guarantee that she will be fair to my male employees?)
2) Beware of the college drop-out. (this, while missing out on some of the best talent available, is guaranteed to produce administrative, often visionless and leaderless masses. Real talent does not require college)
3) Even self-actualized, evolved men with strong women in their lives and college degrees have gender-based bias. (certainly there should be some good men in the world, no? but apparently not according to you which speaks more about you(actually less) than them)
4) When men challenge a woman’s gut direction on a decision, they ask her to explain it, to break it down into evidence. (as they should, gut decisions should only work in your kitchen, in an operation/decision requiring for example ‘salt to taste’. Any mature workplace requires sound logical and financially conservative decisioning from both genders)
5) Jokes are not funny. You know what Freud said about jokes…(there are some other things Freud also said, if you’re up for it, or maybe you only pick his publishings as you see fit, to make your point)
6) Put women in charge. …Women are amazing employees. (sexist much?)
7) The worst of the Google rant was his underlying belief that women are biologically unfit to work in tech. (actually read and comprehend much?)
Good luck with your little startup.
