Bibib: A new name in theatre critics

MMA fighter Habib Nurmagomedov gained his memeularity due to his fight vs Conor McGregor (aka Conor McChicken) in October.

A couple of days ago he got attention of the Russian Internet users again. He was deeply agitated with the theatrical performance he saw in Makhachkala (the capital of the Republic of Dagestan).

On February 25, on his Instagram he expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the performance of «Охота на мужчин» (“Male Hunt”). The MMA fighter was outraged by both the play title and the scene with the actress wearing nothing but underwear. The original post was removed, but later Nurmagomedov posted another one, in which he called Dagestan authorities to account.

Threats hurled on the actors, so they had to apologize via their Instagram pages to the Dagestanis who might have felt offended by their frivolous behaviour.

This is not the first time when the conservative public of Dagestan opposes various cultural events. Last year they cancelled Egor Kreed’s concert and denied distribution of a film about the Korean pop group BTS.

Naturally regular Internet users could not stay away. The incident gave rise to a large number of text memes, which quickly dispersed over the social networks. I will give some examples below. Enjoy!
