Online celebrity-fan interaction firm Privyplex raises $1.5 M, to raise $5-M

Privyplex, a Singapore-incorporated company that helps celebrities digitally connect with their fans, and lets the fans, in turn, become privy to their idols’ lives and careers, has raised USD 1.5 million from French, Qatari, Singaporean and Indian investors in a pre-series A round of funding at USD 10 million valuation. The company plans to raise another USD 5 million in the second half of May. The company was started by Upmanyu Misra and Ahmed Arab. The company counts cricketer Virat Kohli among clients.
