Daily work occurs always in a hurry, a succession of meetings, interruptions, last-minute changes and so on take place while deadlines are always around the corner, staring ruthlessly at us. Nowadays the industry moves fast and time-to-market seems shorter than ever. Lots of companies are output-driven and delivering products or features happens to be the most important thing for the business.

Mass-production principles shouldn’t be applied to usability testing, usability is serious business and every test should be intended to identify and understand what the problems are in order to solve them.

Sometimes a company does usability testing but it is not taken seriously enough. If you want to take usability testing more seriously in your company, here you’ll find some advice.

UX is the new black and there is no wanna-be-cool company ignoring the term. Due to this, over the past few years, UX has become some kind of a hodgepodge term.

Formally, UX stands for User Experience and according to ISO 9241–210 user experience is defined as “a person’s perceptions and responses that result from the use or anticipated use of a product, system or service”.

Two keywords in there: perception — the quality of being aware of things through the physical senses, especially sight — and response — a reply, an answer or a reaction to something.
