Brilliantly written, Kirsten. I think the idea of a Reynold’s bonus based on all up weight (for both sexes) is inspired. I also think that there are some advantages in being female around having a different balance of testosterone to oestrogen, which leads (in some cases at least) to being able to cope with calmer decision-making in stressful conditions. This is a broad generalisation of course, but I do think some of the more cautious female pilots tend to excel in this area in a more consistent way than some of their male counterparts.
